Buncefield Oil Depot February 2007
In December 2005 a huge explosion ripped apart the Buncefield oil depot in the South East of England. It was the largest explosion in Europe since the World War II . The image below taken by the Royal Chiltern Air Support Unit shows the resulting fire to give an idea of the scale of the explosion. More photos can be found at the investigation website.
