Emily

Emily was born with severe IUGR (intra-uterine growth retardation) by planned caesarian section at 35 weeks gestational age, weighing 3lbs 4oz. She spent 5 weeks in hospital, starting in an incubator in intensive care with all monitors and progressing through high dependancy to special care in a cot with a nasal tube for feeding.

Emily was diagnosed with Russell-Silver Syndrome, symptoms of which include low birth weight and length, and slow growth after birth.
